A striking plant standing erect and over 1m tall. Shorter than S. Albescens, but not as strong. It has a striking green and white markings in horizontal bands.

Little maintenance is required. Trim just above the water surface after foliage has died back in Autumn to tidy.

Plant in full sun between 1cm and 30cm deep.
